Deshawn White Maintains No. 1 Three Weeks On BDS Radio Christian Hip Hop Chart
Deshawn White released his extended play “The Trailer: Based on a True Story” on January 28th 2022, and he’s already celebrating the single ‘Burn’ reaching number one on the BDS Christian Hip Hop radio chart for the week ending February 13. Sharing the chart with other talented artists such as Musiq Soulchild, Pastor Mike Jr., Kanye West, Mary J. Blige and more; White has incredible staying power. Currently, the song has placed number 1 for three weeks as of February 27, 2022.
From the increasing streams on digital streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music, it’s nice to see Deshawn White’s hip hop music is touching so many fans as the weeks go by, including myself. ‘Burn’ is a timeless song because, with the raw lyrics over the summer-like beat, the energy is inspiring and affirming. It’s not a song strictly about praising Jesus and getting down on your knees for prayer, but it’s got a truthful and self-actualized vibe to it that is nice to hear in music these days. The song speaks for many, that’s why there’s a star next to it on Apple Music.
As impressive as Deshawn White is, it’s no surprise his recent music video for ‘Burn’ on Apple Music is so incredible, intense, and in-depth as well. He’s onto something for sure. And he’s an intentional storyteller. We can expect more wonderful things from this budding star.
